ls2 power steel problem......

So I broke the original steel on my Supreme 70's and got brand new steel last week .The first skate out I notice a clicking sound from the right skate.I go ahead and skate ,no real problem.I get home and when I apply pressure to the runner at the front ,it clicks.All the hardware is tight so I swap the steel from each skate and the right one still clicks Now it did'nt click when I had the original steel in there, so any ideas what the problem could be or how to fix it and stop the movement and clicking ?

yeah almost everyone using ls2ps around me(including myself) are having this problem

my lhs told me that it isn't the steel, the problem is in the holder. the area around the hardware(?) in the front(the part where the steel is shaped like a hook) gets messed up after use.

if you are skating fine right now, i don't think you need to worry about anything at the moment. but i'm afraid you'll eventually have to replace the holder.

I had a clicking issue. For me the steel is too wide for the holder slot, so it doesn't sit in correctly through the mid seciton of the holder. If it doesn't sit in right the steel rocks and clicks.

Solution was to wetsand the steel to remove the paint, warm the holder up to say 100-120 during installation and it sits in there correctly now.

I have the same problem like that on my right rbk but its an e-pro holder not a tuuk.

It's come up a number of times.

From what I remember, NBH was telling people to put a dab of silicon on the fin when installing the steel, and that will hold it in place.

Yup that's right on. The problem is the plastic on the front of the holder. It wears down and doesn't allow the blade to lock in tight. Silicone or any kind of strong glue does the trick.

Silicone works better than a strong glue as it is more pliable and will flex just a bit while maintaining a good bond. Most glues will harden and crack, and you're right back at square one.
