Proper Holder Size for CCM 652 Skate

Recommended Posts

Hi All, I am a new member and this is my first post. Couldn't find any info on this in searches. I have a pair of CCM 652's size 6D and took a shot to the Pro-lite 3 holder and it shattered. Skates are pretty old but comfortable as all hell. I went online to get an idea of what I could expect to pay for a new holder. I was going to get new runners also due to them being close to end of servicable life. I noticed that the size holder recommended for 6D is 263. My holders on my skates are 255 which I noticed are recommended for size 5.5. Should I just get another 255 or can I put a 263 on these skates? I can get a pair of 263 E-pro's pretty cheap from my LHS, almost the same cost as the Pro-lites. Can the 263 E-Pro fit on my 652's? Thanks in advance for any help.

A lot of people say you can cram the next size up on boots, but I have always just matched the sizes up the same as what comes on them myself...

You can use a size up but you will need to get them profiled becouse it puts alot more blade under yor toes and kind of sticks on the ice but if u take some toe off no real problems pros do it sometimes i know draper does. i have 263s ls2s on my 190s but I wish i wouldve went with 254s better glide but slows down your feet <crossovers and turns> if your a shifty player you miight not like it but everyones different
