clarke-BOH 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2008 It depends what kind of wireless internet you have. I think the adapter will only let you pick up a wireless G signal.

DCott 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2008 go through the wireless settings in the network menu, there are alot of options and stuff you need to make sure is right. then to a connection test.I know this sounds bad but have you tried moving the ps3? mine got crappy reception, but i moved it like 2 feet from where it was and now it works fine. sometimes the signal gets caught up in walls and whatever else it has to go through, and a simple move can sometimes fix it. clarke-BOH 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2008 Is the ps3 too far away to just use an ethernet cable? That way you'll also get a strong steady signal all the time. Hardwired internet is always stronger and faster than wireless.
usawest12u 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2008 how much are the ethernet cables?
Portlandman 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2008 Really depends on the size. I got a 50" cable for $30 but that is from radio shack which is just a rip off. I would just look around. My friend found a place in portland that sells 10' cables for $2.
budro727 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2008 Well, if you are close to the ethernet port, you can use the short one the PS3 came with.
sfael 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2008 Sorry to thredjack but does anyone know what kind of wireless router to get for my PS3. My PS3 is downstairs and my interent is upstairs so I can't use the cable. Will I be good to go with one of the cheap wireless routers or should i go for one of the more expensive ones. Portlandman 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2008 As said a little higher in the thread you need to make sure its a Wireless G router. I would also suggest since you are going to have to send the signal through the walls make sure that it has a good range on it.
