Tackla 5000 Pro US version vs. Canadian

I just got a pair of tackla 5000 pro and they are great. Just out of curiosity what is the difference between canadian made version and the one made in thailand that is sold in the US? I have read that tackla pants sold in the US are different than those in Canada. I was just wondering if someone could shed some reason for this. I think this type of situation applies to other equipment also. Anyway thanks in advance.
