I was doing a search trying to learn more about girdles and the topic on pros shoulder pads got me curious...

What is more popular in the NHL? Pants? Girdles?

Anyone know the most popular brands?

I vaguely remember someone on this board saying Eastons were the most commonly worn pant in the NHL?

A lot of player's wear girdles with a shell that also has padding in it. I think pants are more dominant but then again who knows. Friend of mine who plays pro switched to a girdle and raves. He says it feels like he's not wearing pants and his mobility increased. I would have to say easton or rbk. Tackla used to be up there but seemed to have dropped. But a lot of players also wear shells over thier pants in respective team colours. so who knows what they're actually wearing underneath
