Tyler B 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2008 yeah a kid on my team last year broke two panes in the same week... one was on the glass surounding the rink... the other was the glass separating the players box from the penalty box which he broke dumping the puck durring a scrimage. He didnt have to pay for any of it. He didnt do it on purpose though. We helped clean it up and no one made a big deal over it. Took up half our practice though. pmchelli 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2008 I used to work at the rink the Penguins practiced at. After one of the practices some of them were shooting around and a few of them were shooting pucks at the glass by the penalty box. At the time we had the little hole in the box so the ref could talk to the scorekeeper. The hole is about half the size of the puck, but the guys kept shooting pucks at it until the hole was big enough for pucks to fit through.
tips09 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2008 High school game I was in once, home game and the fans were going pretty nuts in warm-up getting on the other team. So some kid on their team finally has enough I guess and winds up and shoots a huge clapper right at the glass (pretty low glass too, on the sideboards, coulda killed somebody) and boom...glass explodes everywhere. I gotta admit it was pretty badass, shut up the ENTIRE arena for a few seconds...but I think the kid got suspended for the year, and rightfully so.Haha that sounds like it woulda been quite the site to see. Definately would of looked badass thats forsure
