when i stop sometimes...

Sometimes when i stop with my right foot forward its not like a clean stop, it doesnt sound right and in the ice there are like grooves left behind where i was stopping, like the ice dips down then up repeatedly over the distance i was stopping.I was just wondering if you guys knew what was wrong, and this doesnt occur when i stop with my left foot forward.thanks
