Easton S11 skate tendon guard peeling!

Hey folks. I purchased a pair of easton s11 skates back in November 2007. I haven't had any problems with the skate until I noticed that the stiching near the tendon guard has started to fray. I can literally separate the inside lining of the skate with the outside. This is only on the inside portion of my right skate. The left skate is fine

My question is

1) Since I'm past the 90 day warranty, is it possible to have it fixed by Easton? I have lost the receipt.

2) If there is no way for easton to fix it, any home remedies to prevent further separation of the tendon guard

take it to a shoe repair shop to run more stitching along the tendon guard.
