Hockey stores in Kingston Ontario?

Recommended Posts

Im moving to Kingston for school in September. Hoping someone could suggest a good LHS, hopefully close to the University. Any recommendations on places to get my skates sharpened too? Thanks.

I went down there a few times as my sister went to university. There's a small one in the downtown area, I can't remember the name, but it seemed like mostly bike stuff. Which University are you attending?

Some people from Vancouver can't stand the -20C weather, but if you invest in a decent jacket you should be fine.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to find a decent hockey store near campus. There used to be one that was owned by Doug Gilmour but it closed down before I arrived. In terms of skate sharpening, the best place I have found is actually at Jock Harty Arena after the varsity team practices. After reffing a couple of intramural games I would just ask the varsity guy to do my skates and he would do them for $5.

Good Luck

The best Shop in Kingston is ...believe it or not the Canadian Tire. They are a Graf Dealer and have one of the best sharpening places around. They are the #1 Hockey sales store for Canadain Tire in the Country.......you wont have a problem there.

Hey,

I live in kingston, not a bad place. Though Canadian Tire is crappy, ours is the biggest in canada, a total wall of sticks. TONS. There are stores close to here if you are looking for special things. Also, canadian tire is on the list for stealths.

If you want to talk I will give you my MSN.
