weight on synthesis and R2 blade?

Recommended Posts

Hey, I am wondering how much the synthesis and R2 blades weigh. I think I remeber that the synthesis weighs 160 grams? But I am not sure, and what about the R2? Thanks.

If you're talking about the composite blades then the synthesis supposedly weighs 145g. I don't know about the comp. R2 though. I think it's slightly heavier because of the thicker blade.

My Modano composite Synthesis weighs 140 grams; I had a Messier composite R2 that weighed 129 grams. You could definitley notice the balance difference in a flyweight shaft. I prefer a fairly blade light stick, but the R2 felt too blade light for me; the balance point was a good 2 inches higher than a Synergy.

I thought the R2 was light! I picked one up at Perani's last week and it was by far the lightest blade I've ever picked up. It weighed nothing! I picked it up alongside a Synthesis blade and it may have been marginally lighter.
