RBK 6k vs 8k

Does anyone know if there is a huge difference in the performance of the RBK 6K and the 8K, I'm in the market to buy a new set of pads and wonder if the price difference is really worth it the pads look extremely similar. Also any suggestions on a new or used set of spec pads in the range of $600?

i have the 8k's and am very happy with them... my friends that have the 6k's have had problems with them wearing down very quickly

Eastcoast, the goalie on my team had the RBK 6K and ended up getting rid of them after a short while to get the Response Armor R5's He loves the R5's and both he and I feel they are better made than the 6K and he is a large RBK fan so it says a lot.
