RBK 5k shaft question ('07 vs '08s)

Sorry for the long post.

Does anyone have any experience with RBK Intermediate shafts? I'm considering an '07 5k Inter because of its specs compared with the '08s. I'm under 6 foot, so I need a shorter shaft. I want a whippier shaft as well, since I had to cut down my previous El Cheapo and it ruined the flex.

The '07 Inter is a mid flex, somewhere around 75-85, which is what I'm looking for. With a 51 inch length I shouldn't have to cut it down either, or if I do it won't be more than an inch so I should still be under a 90 flex. Here in lies the problem. What sort of shaft would I be getting with the designed Inter as compared to the new '08 which is a Senior with an Inter flex. The '08 adds 3 inches for 54, and I would for sure have to cut it down resulting in a 100+ flex.

I'm hoping that the '07 Inter is speced the same as the '07 Senior in terms of shaft dimensions (aside from length of course). I really don't want a shaft designed for smaller hands, but for the sake of finding one that's the right length and flex I may have to deal with it. I know the Inter will take Senior blades, so I'm good there. I'm just looking for dimension comparisons between the Inter and Senior. I'm really hoping someone out there can help me out before The Monkey is out of the '07s.

Oh yeah, I only play once or twice a month and even then it's just the local rink's 3 hour block of sticktime. So basically pissing around shooting or playing pick-up. I can't justify $75+ for a shaft or stick that could get snapped after only a few uses (I've seen some real asses go out and act like it's a tournament and whack and slash and bust guys sticks for no reason). The 5k is a price I'm willing to dish out and I was told by a buddy that it's fairly durable, so please don't try to sell me on another stick.

Let me try and get this all down... you are looking for a 2-peice '07 senior? 5k in about a 75-85 flex? and you dont want to look at any other sticks on the market? And you want to know the difference in shaft dimensions between the 07 senior and intermediate shafts.

Somewhat correct. I'm looking at the 2-piece Inter which is somewhere along a 75-80 I don't know the exact number. It's not that I don't WANT to look at other sticks, it's that the 5k is the one I found that suits my needs and I can easily buy at a price I can handle. I had a list of shafts I was considering, but getting them to fit my height and shooting style would mean cutting down and killing the flex, which is the main priority. I want a whippier shaft.

To make it easier...

I know the general specs of the 5k, the '07 Inter and Senior and the '08 Senior. What I would like to know is, is the '07 Inter physically, in terms of shaft diameter, the same as a Senior. An Inter, from any brand, is the only way I can get the size I need with the flex I desire. I don't want to buy one and have it be too small for my hands. And none of my LHS have 5ks for me to examine.
