Removing scratches from visor

Recommended Posts

My visor has some scratches and I was wondering if there is a good way of removing them. My dad used to buff his with a polish he used on his cars then quickly took a torch to it. I'm not sure that is a "good" way of going about it, however, it did work... I searched and this was mentioned again along with some Blue Magic plastic cleaner - I tried using Plexus plastic cleaner which people have told me is similar but better with minimal success. So before I buy a new one I just wondering if anyone had any suggestions.

Toothpaste, I believe. (Toothpaste, not gel)
