Stephen11 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2008 Does anyone know if the the new One95s would be a workable substitute for the Flexlites in terms of depth and width? After years of trying out different skates, I finally found the (almost) perfect match with the Flexlite 12s. I have short, deep, wide feet with a narrow heel (wearing a 4.5 EE). In terms of depth, width, and heel lock, the nikes are perfect. The one flaw is that on my left skate, the outer cuff edge digs into my leg about an inch above my ankle. It was ripping the skin, so I started skating with a wrap over the spot. Now it doesn't rip, but the pressure is still there and now I have developed a ganglion cyst where the irritation occurs. It's not painful or anything, but it's concerning enough that I might want to try a different skate. I've tried spot heating the cuff with a hairdryer and pulling it open, but it hasn't really helped. Oddly, it doesn't happen on my right skate. Before my flexlites, I tried Reebok 7Ks (heel too loose even with pump), 8090s (ditto, plus the arch and general shape felt odd), CCM E60s (not wide or deep enough, plus loose heel). Are there any Mission skates that are wide and deep? I am brand agnostic - just looking for the right fit! A few previous threads also mention Grafs, but I haven't found any of the "9" series in junior sizes. Thanks
