Hey i wrote this the other day. I'm going to use it as a piece for something. I was wondering if i could get some input on it. Any additions or ideas.

We are the craziest mother f**kers you will ever meet. Who else would stand in front of an object going 95 mph. We live for the big saves, the shining moment. For us it’s all about the hard work, the pulled groins, the stingers off the ribs, shots off the face, ringing in the ears, shutting down the opposition, being the last line of defense. We seem weird because we have to be. Goalies aren’t normal hockey players. For us it’s all about shutting you down. We feed off of glory and defeat. We are always triumphant no matter how you look at it. We are the ones that still skate until we’re 50 with the 18 year olds because we love to feel like we haven’t gotten any older. We love and hate pain. It’s our enemy and our best friend. We put on the mask and pads and sink into our own world. No one can touch us. Here’s to stick saves, stacking the pads, giving the leg chop, the huge snag, countless hours of practice, up-downs, shuffles, broken bones, torn muscles, stitches, late nights, early mornings, throwing up in practice, yelling across the ice, stopping your ass. We do it because we love to do it, there is no other reason. We get our pride from being the only ones crazy enough to play our position, the one who’s ready to “take one for the team.”

Maybe mention something about the dirty sauce up the middle for the ot winner, the broads- bitties- puck bunnies who seem to love our "flexibility", the 6 am praccys, knocking some teeth out because some plug slashed your glove, getting that tap on your pads after an unreal save, tossing in a lipper, the sieves that get a tan line on their neck from the red light, most of all the brotherhood that is hockey!

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A GOALIE
