help with my foot dimensions

hi folks, following on from a previous thread about a pair of CCM Vector 10's i bought that dont fit as great as i hoped, i wondered if you helpful folk could please offer your insight. I have just measured my feet up to see if this could suggest why and where the CCM's arent fitting and what other skates i should be looking to try instead.

The 7D CCM 10's i have 'may' not fit in the following ways: toes are just short of end of boot, feeling pressure under my arches, widest points of my feet feel very snug to the boot sides, ankle padding is particularly stiff although this may ease with skating time

I drew an outline of my bigger foot with the pencil vertical at all times, and took 5mm or 1/5th inch from the width reading to compensate for the pencil and angle. readings were as follows: 25.2cm/9.92" long and 10.45cm/3.94" wide. I also did an arch test which showed i have an average arch height, although i would say it is closer to high than low! i'm not sure how to determine volume however i shall try the pencil test after work today.

any suggestions as to skate sizes and brands that may suit my foot would be much appreciated. even why the CCM dont fit would be interesting. i did try a friends Mission boots in size 8E and these were comfortable, however i hadnt discovered this site yet and wasn't aware how to properly size a boot.

p.s. i live in scotland and there are very few LHS, and even fewer that actually carry stock so it is almost impossible to get fitted correctly.
