Calling RBK custom mouth guard users/owners

Recommended Posts

I just saw a RBK custom mouth guard in person at a store for the first time. People on this forum have recommend it and say its as good a most custom mouthguards.

Please correct me if I am wrong, the way this works is use the gel provided to fill the gaps of the actually mouthguard provided (or is this just a mold?), so the end product is the gel + the mouthguard OR you use the gel as mouthguard when it hardens and dispose of the mold (mouthguard looking thing provided)?

To me it looks very bulky, like other boil and bites if its gel + mouthguard provided.

The main reason I want to go custom is easy of breath and talking, but if these things looks as bulky as other boil and bites, it defeats the purpose.

Thanks

the RBK custom mouth guard seemed like a great idea... but on mine, the blue "custom fit gel" all peeled off the mouthguard within 2 uses. So I just boiled the clear plastic and ended up with a standard mouthpiece.

I would agree with Frankie, the best route is to see a dentist.

If you want performance, go to a dentist. You can't match the fit, and because it will last years, it's not really that expensive.

I want to too, I am shopping around but all the quotes I am getting are above $150+. I do not have insurance either.

Wow, no one mentioned that before. Sounds like its gel + mouthguard (clear plastic). It's sounding less tempting now. That clear plastic guard looks bulky.

If this is the same one you're thinking of, then yes.... that syringe is full of the blue formable "gel" that doesn't mold to the clear mouthguard as well as advertised. Which then leaves you with a standard $1.99 mouthguard.
