McKenney makes a solid pant. You could also look at some of the bigger online retailers as they tend to have sales. I know that I've seen both a vaughn and an itech pant for less than 200 dollars recently. Another option would be to check out the classifieds with here or at one of the other goalie-specific sites.

Hey, I just picked up the RBK PSII pants and wore them today. They are pretty protective and very comfy. The only thing i didnt like was the internal belt because I like tucking my C/A in but that prevent me from doing so. No biggie though. I've also used Vapor XXXs before and I can say that the protection is AMAZING. Both pants feel like tanks. The Vapor XXXs however have poor craftsmanship. Hope that helps.

haha I'm starting to think I should've done that too. I got the RBK pros for the price of the seniors so I couldn't really refuse the offer though. Im wearing the RBK 08 knee guards as well and Im finding that im a lot slower and everything is very packed together and bulky. The pants dont seem to work well with the knee guards because its so beefy.

I would also look into Brown, they make a really good pant and they are very affordable

For the love of god, tell us where you're finding affordable Brown gear! I haven't seen a pair of his pants under $300.
