Fit of CCM U+ vs RBK 9K

I am currently wearing RBK 9Ks, size 8.5 D. I am looking in to the CCM U+ as my next pair. I don't have the benefit of having a good pro shop nearby, so I am thinking about ordering and hoping to get lucky. Can anyone explain the differences in boot fit between the two? I have heard that CCM tends to run more narrow, so if I am D in RBK, would I want to go wide in CCM? Also, what about length? Thanks for any input.

from my experience the length is about the same but the boot - mostly the heel - is wider in RBK skates.
