Dolomite Shaft 2008

I've never dabbled into shafts since my horrid experience with the Octane, but I might pick it up from somebody.

I've been reading on here that Dolomite shafts are a lot stiffer than listed compared to other sticks, but some of those threads were in 06/07...does that still hold true?

It's a 75 flex shaft, so would it be around an 85?

I have found my '08 Dolo shafts to be accurately rated flex-wise when compared to similarly tapered products.

The experiences I've I had in descending stiffness:

TPS R81 shaft SW flex = Easton Synergy OPS 85 flex

Dolomite shaft 75 flex

TPS R2 shaft W flex

The Dolomite is a little stiffer than a TPS whip, but it definitely gives more than an 85 to me.

I have a 75 flex Mission Fuel Ti OPS also but I'm not going to compare that because I just can't get used to that thing.

I have a 75 flex warrior shaft and a 85 flex se16 and the warrior feels 2x as whippy compared to the se16

What blades did you guys have in there for optimal balance?

I've got the Dolomite blade (Fedorov) in all, mainly because I like the lower lie.

The Dolo/Dolo combo seems most balanced (go figure).

my '08 75flex feels real whippy, but its also springy, and it still has the kick it had the day i picked it up i just stuck a pro hockeymonkey blade in it, and i don't seem to have a prob wih balance (coming from basically OPS's my whole "career")
