I have a full set of gear that isn't even broken in yet that I am looking to sell. It was replaced after my basement flooded in 2004. I have Brian's AMAXX 34" pads, a Brian's AMAXX blocker, a Vaughan Velocity 7000 trapper, Brian's AltraMax chest protector, a Brian's/Sportmask catseye helmet, John Brown pants, and Koho 580 skates. Does anyone have any idea what this stuff might be worth, it was in the neighborhood of $5200 new. Thanks for any help you might be able to give me.

The hardest things to sell will be the pads, since they're relatively short and 12" wide. The gloves should get you a little over $100, but again, but the old Senior size rather than NHL spec will complicate things. Personally, I love the A-Maxx blocker (got one myself) but the A-Maxx in general was not a very well-known line for Brian's. The Brown pants should get you well over $100, maybe over $200 depending on how you sell them. - ditto the Sportmask, though much depends on the branding there. Those skates had been on closeout on Goaliemonkey for a while, so don't expect too much - $50 or $60.

All told, I'd be surprised if you got much over a grand. It's a shame, because it's all very well-made stuff - just happened not to hold its value very well because of rule changes, style drift, etc.
