if my skates are too big, im wondering if i could use insoles to make my feet fit better? would it affect my movement and comfortability?

How are they too big?

If they're too long, no - insoles won't hep; nor will they help if the skates are too wide.

If the skates are too deep for you, insoles will help to take up some of the volume.

Replacing the stock insoles (which are just cheap, thin foam like cardboard) with nearly anything is an improvement in comfort.

When I play out I have been wearing CCM 852 Tacks.

So when I wanted a newer (new to me) pair of goalie skates I got a pair of CCM Vector 4.0

Both are a CCM 9.5 E, but the goal skates fit looser (either from the previous owner or they just fit different).

I put an extra thin insole in each goal skate and the fit is a lot better.
