DVX 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2009 Pretty crazy you are in tryouts. Just finished coaching last season on April 6th. But that's down here in the states. First, realized what the coaches see in you and play that role (scorer, playmaker, grinder, shut down d, puck moving d)Second, if more roles you can fit the better. the playmaker that is gritty is better than the soft playmaker. or the offensive D that can actually play D is better than the D who plays like a forward.Third, hit everything in sight. Players from the team last year might hate you during the session but will love you once you are on the team. Hopefully B)Some good points here.Make noise, lots of of noise. And youre not there to make friends either, so if it moves, kill it.(dont be an idiot about though)Its gonna take a lot of second effort, back checking, fore checking etc... unless youre gods gift to hockey.Ive got junior camp coming up and im gonna play to my strengths, thats the best thing you can do in situations like this, if you cant dangle, dont try to dangle, youre gonna get railed in the process
