ice to roller conversion

Recommended Posts

i asked this question in another section and i think i would be better answered here so here it goes.... i have the 2004 vector 6.0 and rbk 8k ice skates and im thinking about picking up a pair of vapor xxxx or xxv ice skates to change them all into roller blades. i just picked up a pair of kuzak team chassis just because they were only $18 for both. i just want some help with how to changing the skates from ice to roller idk if there is a thread for this already so i thought id ask... also what would be the best setup for me with these skate boot options? i am 5'10 160lbs. and am in a pick up league now until i get my inline hockey skills back up to what they used to be. and when i get better im going to be playing a lot more! any help you could offer would be great.

thank you zach

holes from ice holders should never fit perfectly for inline chassis.

basically you are always going to have to fill the old holes and drill new ones

most chassis would fit on most boots, but there may need to be some modifications done.

For example, most of the boots would need some of the outsole dremmelled (*spelling) to accomodate the second wheel on the hum'mer chassis.

At the end of the day, its all about personal preference. Which chassis are you looking for on the 652?
