Anyone Painted 5K's to Look Like 9K's?

Has anyone used a fabric marker or paint to make 5K skates look like 9K's? I'd like to know what you used and if you have any pics that would be great. I don't think it would be too difficult but I'm curious about the durability.

I saw a thread or 2 where some have used drawing markers to black out vapors, but never a follow-up on durability.
