small chassis?

I have a small Hummer chassis and want to mount it to a pair of size 9 NBH ice skates. Labeda recommends the small chassis for sizes up to 8.5. What would be the consequences of using a chassis that may be too small? Should I go buy another one in a different size even though I already have this one available?

It will fit on a 9, but thats the max I would go.
