numberthirteen 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2009 Hi,I was just day dreaming in school the other day as usual, when i came up with an idea for a niceeee conversion idea!I just needed some information on the chassis that come on the Mission BSX skates. I know they are stamped 6000 aluminum but what does this mean? I'm guessing the chassis is going to be heavy, but how is it durability wise? Will it stand up to a beating? Does it bend easily? etc etc.. Any help would be appreciated and i will attempt to find an alternate chassis if it does not meet the correct requirements i need.These are the skates i was thinking of by the way.. sdcopp 1 Report post Posted February 4, 2009 stick with the after-market Vanguard frame. It's made out of 7000 series aluminum which is superior to the 6000 series used on the BSX. It's also extruded meaning it's carved from a single block of metal instead of stamped out pieces which are then welded together. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
ATLstealth09 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2009 Yeah if you are going to use a boot as nice as the U+, you will want a nicer chassis than the BSX one to match it. Darkbyte 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2009 Unless of course we are talking Jr sizes?* I havent seen a Jr vangard chassis listed anywhere, just the senior sizes.If you are looking for other options it may be worth looking on ebay for a pair of Mission wickeds or syndicates (seeing as your only interested in the chassis, it doesnt matter what condition the boots are in).* The use of the 4 platinum variants suggests that you dont weigh a great deal, so it follows logically that you may have small feet, hence the question. numberthirteen 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2009 I'm a size 10EE skate lol, but as i'm 14, 5'8" and about 140lbs the variants work well.anyways..The idea of using the BSX chassis was because it was fairly cheap and because the color scheme matched the boot and wheels.The old mission Soldier has a blue chassis, maybe i should look into that.Then again, another alternative is a mag chassis and my good ol' friend spray paint!
