shipping sticks to US from Canada

I have sticks that I want to trade with a MSHer. but the quote I got from Canada Post is quite high.

who knows what is the best way (cheapest) to ship and pack a stick or shaft to US?

Canada Post seems to be a little stricter then the USPS. I can ship a stick from the US to anywhere in Canada for $20.80 with no restrictions but it seems when customers ship the same stick back its a lot more expensive for them.

Canada Post can tend to be expensive... have you signed up for a Venture One account with Canada Post? On average you save ~5% on shipping but the main feature is it entitles you to print your own shipping labels. I don't know why, but there's always a big discrepancy in the shipping quotes online and the actual price at the post office.

If you print your own labels online you pay exactly what they shipping calculator suggests. Expedited Parcel is the most economical service to use since it comes with a confirmation number and $100 insurance. If you're going for a cheap service I wouldn't suggest anything less than Expedited because if Canada Post loses your package you don't have any proof of shipping or insurance to show for it.

Its usually around 25$ to ship sticks from Canada to the US.
