danielb 0 Report post Posted March 13, 2009 Hey folks,Any recommendations for building up my flexibility in preparation for making the switch to play in goal (currently play D)? I have Bob's Stretching book but I'm not great a sticking to workout programs that I do by myself. So I was thinking some sort of class would be best, as that way I'll stay motivated and have instructor supervision to prevent me getting carried away and injuring myself! To give you some background I used to be a field hockey goalie. I only started playing Ice hockey a year ago after moving to Canada. When I started playing I was advised by an instructor to start playing out of net to get the necessary skating skills (I was a total skating beginner) to be able to play in net effectively.I friend suggested Pilates classes, so I've signed up for a beginners class. I'd be interested in any other recommendations!Daniel
