question about arch support

Recommended Posts

A skate that has an arch that's too high for your foot, will obviously cause pain, and let you know that the skate isn't the right fit for you. Would a skate that has an arch that's too low do the same?

I'm in a pair of older Rbk 7ks right now, and they feel great. They seem to fit my foot in every way. Reading the threads here, though, tells me that they work well for people with little to no arch. I'm pretty sure my arches are average, they certainly aren't anything like the pics I find when I search on "flat feet".

If the arches are too low for me, it wouldn't be causing pressure and pain, right? If I'm getting less arch support than I should, how would I know it?

My previous skates had very little arch support for my feet and the pain was miserable after being on the ice for 5 minutes. This time around I got myself a set of custom insoles and the support that I have now is night and day.
