Easton S17 lacing question?

Just got our stock of Easton S17 and other models in for the year. We like to lace up all our skates so when our customers come in we can speed up the process a little bit and have them ready to try on. My question is are any other shops lacing the skates up going through the red strip on the tongue?? First of all this is extremely time consuming and secondly im just wondering if these skates were designed with the lacing going through the red stripe or if its there just as a background color!!

It's there mostly for looks but it is functional if you have problem with your tongue shifting. You only need to lace it through the loops once or twice to keep it aligned. It would be a ridiculous to lace it through each loop.
