Need Help Sizing Torspo 221 skates

Recommended Posts

Just as the title says, I need help ordering the right size for the Torspo 221 skates. I did a search and the threads that i found didn't really give me the answer that I was looking for so I need some help. So when I was looking through the threads some people say they fit like your normal shoes size and some say go one size down. I'm confused which one is it? I currently wear a 8.5 in easton and my everyday shoe size is 9.5-10. So what size should I order, help me out folks, thanks in advance

I just got my 221's in a size 8.5. It's a perfect fit for me after baking.

I wear:

size 9 street shoe

size 7 One90

size 7.5 Graf

size 8 Easton

size 8 Kor Shift 1

size 7.5 RBK 9k

I would say 1/2 size down from street shoe.

So since i wear a 8.5ee in Easton should I get a 9 in the torspo skates? I saw that you wear an 8 in Easton and you got a 8.5 in Torspo, have you skated with them yet? How do they feel?

If you are like me and like your toe to be barely feathering the toe cap,

Size 9 sounds good as long as you bake them.

I haven't skated on them yet, I will tonight.

Since the boot is similar to my Shift 1's I believe there will be no isues.

My Shift 1's are the most comfortable skate I have ever worn.

This is the only reason I am taking a chance on the 221's.

I am still wondering about the PIKA holder.

If you are picky, these are not the lightest skate by any means.

One thing to note is that this is the STIFFEST boot I have ever owned.

More to come after tonights game.

I wear a size 8.5D Easton, and size 9D in the Surge 221. They will feel very snug at first, but once you bake them they are sweet.

Heavier than an easton 1200c, but not bricks. Very good support, and is the only skate so far that has given me little/no issues. I baked them at home (going to bake some Kors in a few minutes while the wife and kid are sleeping), and after the second skate my ankle seems to be sucked into the heel lock.

One word of advice though, when thightening them up, go finger tight, dont need to crank up on the laces. They are solid enough to wrap around the foot without having to crank up on them. Also, I used to lace up tightly all the way to the top with other skates, but so far these have provided pretty good support.

The PIKA holder broke on one of my skates. I thought they were supposed to be indestructible!! Anyway Im rocking a size 7.5 and was wondering if anyone would know what MM holder I should get to replace it. Not around the skates right now to measure. Trying to impulse buy. Thanks in advance...
