roller hockey skate chassis wheel line up

Recommended Posts

A bit of information on your self such as weight and playing surface would help rather a lot for suggesting a wheel set-up for you.

EDIT: Sorry I was thinking about wet-up's in terms of wheel hardness, not sizes...

When it comes to wheel setup its really all personnel preference. Here are the different setups: (Front to back)

Hummer 80-80-80-80 (What you have)

Vanguard 76-76-80-80

Standard Hi-Lo 72-72-80-80

Sprung: 76-76-76-76 or 80-80-80-80 (great concept take a look at the sprung topic for more info)

Sensor: 76-72-80-80

Tr-Di: 72-76-76-80

OneUp: 72-72-80-78

C-Note: 76-76-76-100

I think that is all of the main frames and there wheel setup

no the one-up has the 78 on the back, marketed as a 1mm "rocker". It was Bauers way of getting around the hi-lo patent, because you can place an 80mm wheel in the last spot to have a flat hi-lo frame

whats the best wheel line up?? idk what to get, rite now im useing tours(all 80mm) but im haveing problems with acceleration, is the rbk chassis anygood im looking at a pair of rbk's

You really shouldn't have a problem with acceleration or top speed with the straight 80 chassis. The most common "complaints" with that setup are usually in regards to agility and turning radius.

the "acceleration problem" may come from your feet not moving fast enough :D
