9k pump skates customization question

i was wondering if anyone knew if it's possible to add extra ankle padding to 9k's or if the pump assembly would make that problematic if not impossible? i mostly like the fit and feel of the 9k's but the ankles could use a touch more padding, and the heel/ankle feels just a tad sloppy so i figured some extra padding could help that as well...basically killing 2 birds with 1 stone.
