OPS Stick Help

Recommended Posts

I'm looking into buying my next stick. I've been all easton for some time now and loved my Synergy SE. I have as a backup an NBH Vapor XXV which I'm having some trouble getting used to. I'm now in the market (since my SE has just recently broke) in investing in a new stick. Found a deal for some nice Vapor XXXX and wanted to throw out a question.

While I know a great deal has to do with personal pref, I was wondering if anyone had some insight on the following: Easton blades Vs Bauer blades and how they feel the differences are (aka Bauer feel a bit more plasticly, if that makes sense) and/or Vapor XXV Vs XXXX. I'm wondering if I'm having issues with my Vapor XXV because it's a mid range stick. If anyone has any experience using these types of stick, feel free to send insight on the differences/similarities (not so much looking for "OMGZ XXXX is the best!!!!" type of advice)

I have not used a xxxx for a long period of time but ive owned a few se's and they break pretty easy. If you want a durable stick i think the xxxx would be your best option, i know a guy who got a season out of his its scuffed up bad but its still pretty stiff and hes a pretty heavy shooter, i couldn't get longer then a month or two out of a se and i weigh 180 using 100 flexs. The xxxx's are a pretty nice stick though light and balanced just love the feel of the se.

The biggest knock on easton sticks that i have is the blades. I've has a number of SL's, and 2 SE's, the blade has gone before the shaft on all of them. Since my eastons, i have had a one90, a vapor xxxx and now a one95. All of my bauer sticks feel like they are put together stronger and none of the blades have cracked or gone soft.

So true. I just love the feel of the se's so much that its all i use, the curve selection is great too. XXXX's are pretty good sticks, i probably would have bought one if they had a curve i really liked and a 110 flex. Dont get a pricepoint, your getting a way better stick in the xxxx then the xxv.
