Shipping suggestions for a shaft & two blades

Can someone suggest an economic method to ship a shaft & two blades from Canada to Australia? I've tried Canada Post, UPS, FedEx and Purolator -- they all charge around $100 for the shaft alone. In fact Canada Post will not even ship the shaft due to it's length.

Is it cheaper to ship from the US to Australia? If someone has done this before, can you share your shipping method.
