Lightest Shoulders and Shin

I couldn't find a topic that detailed what I'm looking for. I'm currently using pro Jofa shins and the old Flak shoulder pads. Looking to get something lighter. Does anybody know what the lightest shoulders and shins are short of getting something made of cheap low end plastic? Meaning it can withstand a adult slap shot without cracking.

You can't go wrong with a good set of Jofa shins..... and any shin pad is gonna crack if you get drilled with a slapper, I've cracked 2 pairs of Jofas and for the most part they are bulletproof. As for the shoulder pads if you're really worried about weight go with a set of the sherwood 5030 series which unless you're planning in a checking league should be more than enought protection.

Farrell shoulder pads are by far the lighest on the market, the protection is unbeatable too, ive been beaten with pucks, taken body shots in a fight, slashed, hooked, landed funny , done it all and they protect me fine. I had 8k shin pads for 3 seasons and they never cracked, pro jofa shin pads arnt going to crack as easy as a lower end shinpad, farrells are top of the line. By far the most mobile shoulder pads around, pretty durable too. They dont look it but they are, very very strong.

Thanks Farrell pads actually never occurred to me. I always thought they looked heavy. Gotta check them out.

You will be amazed. It felt so weird wearing them the first 5 or 6 games, you dont notice them at all. Your kind of scared to get hit by a puck and what not but ironically i got switched back to defense when i got them, hit by lots of pucks .. no problems.
