Franklin Shafts

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if anybody has used any Franklin shafts: the 850, 750, or 730. Thinking about trying one, but haven't seen any in shops around the bay area. Any feedback would be appreciated!

well i could help you...but all people here know that my english suck....so I will not start a big review on them

but oh well i'm maybe (if not)the biggest franklin stick here on mod squad loll(i'm soo proud of it lollll jk)

but i will try...i used 3 franklin 7035(ops) there 730 shaft with 9007 blade for over the past 1 year and a haft now...what i like about them is:

1.sandpaper grip!!!!wow!!!it not like the sandpaper on the patriot hespeler it really smooth more like a montreal nitro 8500(i think it the blue one)

2:the shaft shape (in my opinion)...it like(if not identik) to the Sher-wood momentum with the 6 inch rounded at the end of the shaft

3.the feel of it ..it like a wood stick but REALLY lighter...with a 9007 power core blade the BALANCE is sooooo nice that you feel is like a reg 460-500 grams one piece stick. What i wanna mean is that the shaft is a bit heavy(well i would estimate to a 300-320 gram shaft)so if you use a z carbon blade at 150g your stick will not be that well-balanced but with a regular blade around 200g the balance of it it fantastic

4.the flex...i got a flex 5 would suppose to be like a 100flex easton scale but since it wood in bend more i would say it feel more 90-95(wich is perfect for me)

5.the price....i cant say anything about it!!!!it so cheap!!

6.durabillity...i play full contact league(5to10 hrs/week) and one broke after 7 month of use(because i had the idea to slap shot 3 puck at the time smart hen!!!!)the second last me a week ( i was playing with friend in the locker with our stick by flexing them)i got my warrenty and the last one i'm still playing with it

and for the last one the lucky 777...i would say the look lol i tihnk the orange silver doesnt look bad...

by the way...the best thing in franklin is the feel of the puck(wich it is in the blade).....so you might whant to give a try but if you don't like the sandpaper grip ...i tihnk you should just try another shaft because i think the power of the air core is when you use the shaft with the blade....if not the balance it kinda loss ...well that up to you!!!

just a advice(it maybe in my head)but if you have planning to use this shaft with a z-carbon or whatever stiff blade don't buy franklin air core...why??it easy...the shaft bend pretty easy and since it wood/graphite it can crack or break pretty easy with a super stiff blade i don't know if you get what i whant to say...(it like when i was using my z-buble 85 flex with a cheap wood blade...they were like 2 flex point(my shaft and the blade)) was pretty bad...

as for the 750 ...it like the same thing as my 730 but maybe a bit litghter and more resistent because it has 2x ply of graphite(i never tryed)

as for the 850 it all graphite so it like a reg shaft...but with the sandpaper grip unique to Franklin(i never tryed)

I HOPE THAT YOU HAVE AT LEAST UNDERSTAND 50% OF WHAT I SAID ...HAS FOR THE REST...OH WELL LOL
