HELP - x40s

Recommended Posts

does anyone know of anywhere that has bauer x40's in england ?

i need some new skates and they caught my eye, i also cant decide whether to get an ice pair converted to rollers, if i can get my hands on x40 rollers easier than a pair a ice ones ill get them, by them i mean the roller ones.

i would prefer to get converted ones because theres more strength and protection in the actual boot, but my mate's had his vapor 40s done and theyve broke 4 times, what are thoughts on this if anyone can recomend anywhere ?

im looking to get new ones before next saturday and puck stop seem to think that x40s dont exist.

any info would be a big help cheers

oh by the way im open to suggestions for other skates 200 250 quid i'm thinkin bout spending

You cant get the X:40's in the UK as far as I know the same reason as the XXV's (correct me if im wrong).

I would imagine the X:60's would fit like the X:40's just not as stiff/supportive, Think that will be your best bet. or maybe try and find someone down the local rink who let let you try them on! Good luck

I know loads of guys who have the Vapor 22's converted for inline and they have all had no issues with either the conversion (most done at Puck Stop) or the durability of the boot.

I think 22's are in the £170-£180 region ... so you'll prob save some money too.

in the end settled for a pair of the x30s, as the guy in the shop said apart from a few grams, the specs were nigh on the same for x30s 40 and 60s, suprisingly, any info or experience to contradict that ?

ive put my mission vanguard chassis on, with my lebada gripper wheels, ill post some pics up soon, like your feedback.

cheers guys
