Level of play

I know the NHL has the highest level of play in the world, but I have always wondered how other pro leauges compare. Such as the pro leauges in other countries. Is there any way to list them in some sort of order of level of play?

Right now because of the Lockout I think that the next geart league to play in is the American Hockey League.

I'd put the Russian Super League ahead of the AHL. I'm sure guys like Eric and Shark, guys with a good sense of Int'l hockey can give a good answer.

I would think somewhere in europe. I hear alot of NHL people going to play in europe, but not the American league...
