Fuel 130 vs NME Nine-1

Title says it all.... comparing the fuel 130 and NME Nine-1, which would be more protective? The fuel 130 would have been last year's model, while the NME Nine-1 series was supposed to be released and then Bauer bought out Mission-Itech.

Prefer mission gear, as I've been using the same Mission Sub-zero shin pads for about 5 years, They are stil in relatively good condition, but they are pretty bulky. With the newer inline hockey pants coming out with the tapered leggings, its getting a little more difficult to pull the pants down over the shin pads.

Are the Fuel 130 shins less bulky/wide than the two shins mentioned above?

the Fuel 130 shins/elbows are much slimmer than the old Sub-Zero pads. Honestly I'd look at the Fuel 100 though, the construction on the Fuel 130 pads I had was dubious, but I'm still rocking Fuel 85 shins (pre-cursor to the Fuel 100 line) and have had zero issues with them holding up or being protective enough

I have the Fuel 85 shins and love them. They're very protective and not bulky or restrictive at all. I know the monkey still has the 85s too.

yup... i checked out the fuel 85, but they dont have any in my size. Btw, I'm about 185lbs... dont think weight is an issue but i do block a lot of shots
