Officer Dangle 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2009 I'm only about 5'7 and 150 lbs dripping wet, and I'm also a pretty speedy guy. For a while I had a hard time finding wheels that I wouldn't slide out with when I'd stop or turn sharply. For the past few months I've been skating on Revision Platinums which I like very much. They're just about to the point where they need replacing and my question is: do any of you wheel guru's out there have any other recommendations for a very grippy indoor wheel? I'll be the first to admit that I don't know a whole lot about wheels and only choose the Platinums because they're 72a. Are there any other wheels I should look at? I don't have a brand preference or anything at all, but I'd like to keep the price under $10 per wheel.
_HSB_b345t 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2009 Revision Variants are the best wheel on the market. I would stick with them. Performance-wise, you'll be hard pressed to find a better wheel.
stock07 1 Report post Posted October 20, 2009 I am about the same size and love the Rink Rat Hornets(black) I have used revisons and like them, but feel RR are a better wheel for the money...
littlehockeymatt 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2009 try the revision variants gold, 74a softness but still good grip, more durable in my thought
sdcopp 1 Report post Posted October 20, 2009 in the famous words "if it ain't broke...." if they worked well then stick with the platinums. I've kind of gotten to the point where I don't think you can go wrong with either Rink Rat or Revision, just a matter of feel between the two and you've found the one that feels and performs well for you.
