Officer Dangle

To all you wheel experts out there..

Recommended Posts

I'm only about 5'7 and 150 lbs dripping wet, and I'm also a pretty speedy guy. For a while I had a hard time finding wheels that I wouldn't slide out with when I'd stop or turn sharply. For the past few months I've been skating on Revision Platinums which I like very much.

They're just about to the point where they need replacing and my question is: do any of you wheel guru's out there have any other recommendations for a very grippy indoor wheel? I'll be the first to admit that I don't know a whole lot about wheels and only choose the Platinums because they're 72a. Are there any other wheels I should look at? I don't have a brand preference or anything at all, but I'd like to keep the price under $10 per wheel.

Revision Variants are the best wheel on the market. I would stick with them. Performance-wise, you'll be hard pressed to find a better wheel.

I am about the same size and love the Rink Rat Hornets(black) I have used revisons and like them, but feel RR are a better wheel for the money...

in the famous words "if it ain't broke...." if they worked well then stick with the platinums. I've kind of gotten to the point where I don't think you can go wrong with either Rink Rat or Revision, just a matter of feel between the two and you've found the one that feels and performs well for you.
