TheHerminator22 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2009 Has anyone used the Kryptonic Wicked Sticky Wheels before? I just ordered a set for my Bauer Vapor XR Lite blades, and I'm wondering what I should expect as far as performance and durability. I'm hoping to find a wheel that gives me more grip but doesn't compromise my speed. This wheel claims to do that. IS it true? Also, generally, how long do they last? AIHL Sabrecats4 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2009 Mine lasted about 30 minutes of hard skating before I split 3 with one stop. If I were you I'd return them and look into either some Rink Rats or some Revision wheels.

Plus Rink Rat has wonderful CS and will often times replace the wheels if you do indeed have an issue with them.
Officer Dangle 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2009 My Mr. Sticky wheels lasted me quite a while, but I was about 140lbs when I was using them.Right now I'm skating in Revisions. Unless something drastically changes, I don't see myself switching brands anytime soon.

Rule of thumb that i've learned is to go with a multi-pour wheel (most clear wheels)...These multiple people don't know what they're talking about. Go with either Rink Rat or Revision, i've also heard a lot of good things about the new labeda's, but haven't tried them. Good luck.My Mr. Sticky wheels lasted me quite a while, but I was about 140lbs when I was using them.Right now I'm skating in Revisions. Bender 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2009 Uh no your sources are totally wrong...Nice way to cut down what a person has heard, personally I havn't had the best experience with Rink Rats or are you going to tell me I'm wrong as well? I'm currently on revisions and they seem to be doing well so far, still trying to figure out which hardness offers me the best grip/durability ratio.
sdcopp 1 Report post Posted November 21, 2009 also remember that Kryptonics had been part of the old Bravo Corp lineup that is now under Eschelon and is actually focused on making good wheels again. Mr Stickys back in the day were a great wheel when compared to Grippers and Formula Gs, the Wicked Stickys.....well you better be a lightweight given how soft they are. Leafsrule16 5 Report post Posted November 21, 2009 I dont know much about wheels but are these the white wheels with purple writing?
#96 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2009 I'm 170-175lbs and used the orange Wicked Stickys for a couple of games. Wayyy too soft. I had no speed whatsoever, but grip was good obviously. I wound up buying some Labedas but I use the Wickeds in the front position for grip while taking off and stopping/spinning.
MIAPlayer 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2009 so i have two wheels that i really like. ive used the x-soft labeda milleniums which are sweet. very good on turns and stops and havent chiped or anything on me yet. also ive just started using the labeda dynasty II's since we have team wheels and again i like them a lot
TheHerminator22 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2009 Well, maybe I should have said this when i originally posted, but I'm not an idiot. I understand the impact that weight has on extra soft wheels. I'm a very lean 140lbs, so my question pertained more to the quality of the wheel when used in the proper context. Not how long it lasts with some 200 lb guy trying to use them.
sdcopp 1 Report post Posted November 24, 2009 if my post sounded insulting I apologize, but I've seen a guy not much bigger (145-150 lbs) than you destroy Wicked Sticky's in a pretty short timeframe, a month or just under IIRC. They were also the older model, so I'm not sure if there was any sort of build process change once they came under the Eschelon banner. They look essentially the same though. Mike92 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2009 I had good luck with rink rats, only ones that would last more than 10 games or so, best performance too. I'm a bigger guy though so I'm not sure how much you'd like them. Seems like the customer service is great too. I hear good things about revisions also, might try them eventually.
