Easton SE16 Skates

Recommended Posts

New to this site, and been out of hockey for awhile now. Looking at picking up the essentials pieces for stick and puck so I can get back into hockey. I'm not sure if sites are allowed to be mentioned in the forums, but from some of the main ones I've been skimming through they have very comparable prices. Any Canadians have a preference in any likely due to cheaper shipping costs etc? I've checked four hockey stores in the last month and none carry the SE16 at least this year's white model. I've tried on some other Easton's like the s12 so I'd assume I'd fit into the SE16 roughly the same as the 12s!? My current pair of skates are Eastons, allow about 7 years old. I do have a narrow foot so they are fairly suited for me in general..

thanks

Skates in general have changed a lot in seven years. You will do best if you go to your local hockey shop and try on a few pairs or more.

If the s12 fits the SE 16 should fit. Easton keeps the sizing consistent. The SE16 will have a lower cut and more padding then the s12 though, if you love high cut boots you would be better off going with the stealth line.

However, you say you have a narrow foot. Eastons aren't narrow. They have a fairly wide forefoot and a narrow heel. You should go in and try a bunch of skates on to figure out what the best fit for you is.

Hockey Life stores in Ottawa carry the white SE16's... Not sure where you are, but you might want to check em out.

Also, I find Easton skates to be somewhat narrow but duck-like... which is perfect for me!

FYI

Supreme ONE75's in 8.5 Tiny bit too long... Easton SE16's (older black) in 9 perfect snug.

All right, thanks for the responses. Yes, I was to a Pro Hockey Life in Edmonton, but they didn't carry the SE16's, amazing store though. I live in Fort Mcmurray and we only have a Source for Sports and a Sportchek that doesn't carry many high end skates. I'll be ordering online I guess.
