beerleaguecaptain 1004 Report post Posted December 26, 2009 I know most you hard core guys hate the idea of a wheeled bag, much less a backpack, but for us older guys it's a life (and back) saver. That being said, I was checking out the RBK 7K wheeled backpack online. I'm heading to my LHS to check it out later this week. Does anyone who has seen or used it have any impressions? Gummer12 134 Report post Posted December 26, 2009 Which version? I Have/HAD the original version, with the Lime Green Embroidery. If you're a Bigger guy, and have larger pants, might not be a good idea. I had to be Creative in packing my gear. Besides that, it was an alright bag.The front 'Pocket' isn't much of a pocket, more of a Zippered Flap. And the internal Valuables pocket wasn't much bigger than a roll of tape. One of the slider buckles for one of the backpack straps broke, but IIRC I stepped on it or something..so no fault of the bag. Also the Handle was rumored to be quite fragile. Mine is still intact, but over time it Did get a little looser than normal. It's now sitting in my basement storing spare gear. I know they redesigned the Backpack series..hopefully they've taken care of those issues that I've had.
beerleaguecaptain 1004 Report post Posted December 26, 2009 Thanks. I'd be looking at the new (2009) version. I am a bigger guy - all XL stuff - so I'm a bit concerned now about space. I was hoping I could fit under armour and jock and a small towel in that front pocket.
