Blueshockey6 0 Report post Posted December 27, 2009 I had a pair of Tour MX's blowout, skates were about 6months old, so I mailed them back to Tour for them to inspect (3rd pair of Tours to blow out in 2years), so in the mean time, I went out and bought a pair of the 2010 Mission Soldier SE's becuase I needed skates, love them... Get a call from Tour last Monday saying that they are going to replace my skates, however they don't have any MX's in the warehouse, all they have is a pair of Tour Beemers that they are going to send me, so I get the skates, put wheels on them today, on the one skate the 2nd wheel from the front is locked up, I pulled it up, bearing spins just fine off the skate, could there be an issue with the Beemers they sent me and the wheel rubbing the bottom of the boot? Blueshockey6 0 Report post Posted December 27, 2009 i think you've got an oversized wheel there. That's not the case...They all roll fine on the other skate, 80mm's all around, so I tried several wheels, it's still locked, they mounted the chassis @ the warehouse from what they told me..Is it possible they mounted the chassis to far back on the bottom of the skate?? Ron 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2010 What size are you skates? To my surprise, when my older Tour Code E2's came in, they ran a straight 4 x 76mm wheel setup due to my smaller boot size 7. Apparently anything bigger than the 7 uses a 4 x 80mm setup. I believe th Beemers are around the same vintage as the original Code 1 and Code E2's. If you are trying to run 80's in a chassis designed for 76mm, you may get some interference
littlehockeymatt 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2010 To be honest, id just stick with the 2010 soldiers. My old skates are tour code 1's(the origanl) and 2months or so ago i got mission boss blacks and wow a huge difference. In my opinion mission makes better skates than tour. Durable, comterable!,good fit mission is the way to go
hockey_is_hard 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2010 I'm not sure about the Beemers, but i've had Tour Code Reds and Code Blues in the past. The 80mm wheels that come with the skates spun fine, but when i put Hyper 250 80mm wheels on them the second wheel won't spin (in both cases). It has to do with the width of the wheel rubbing against where the chassis is mounted next to the recessed area in the boot. Whenever I get new wheels I have to leave one of the original Labeda wheels in the second spot or a worn down Hyper there until the rest of the wheels wear down enough so that they won't rub when i rotate them. Chesterfield12 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2010 I am sorry, and not to call Brad out, but the only dealings I've had with the man have been untimely, and unprofessional. I would ask to speak with someone else at Tour if I were you.
