Oakley Visor / Bauer Helmet Problems?

I have an OAKLEY 903 PRO STRAIGHT VISOR W/O VENTS attached to my Bauer HH5000L Helment. According to the instructions, the shield must be positioned as far forward as possible, which is what I have done. The thing is, the visor weighs my helmet down and forward. The helmet fits fairly snug, but when I sweat in games, it begins to slide over my eyes. Any thoughts?

Also, where the visor is screwed/connected to the Bauer HH5000L, the helmet has cracked on the left side. A crack has also started on the right side. It's the plastic covering my temple, in front of that translucent ear cover. It looks like the visor itself has caused these cracks. Anyone else experience this? Should I be looking into replacing my helmet?

EDIT: Well, searching around, it looks like I should have used spacers. I wish Cyclone Taylor Sports suggested using them when they installed my visor on years ago. Now, about the visor weighing my helmet~~~

I was having a similar problem with my helmet when I would sweat and started wearing and Under Armor skullcap...that has helped tremendously.

i have a nbh 8500 w/ the itech dx100 shield. i've noticed that this setup is quite heavy. i also have a cheaper mission helmet (intake?) w/ an hs22 prowave. this setup is significantly lighter and less front heavy. I use this most often with an under armor skullcap and this is my preferred setup. your prob stuck with it so try the skullcap. it drastically reduces sweat running into your eyes and will also help you get a snug fit on your bucket.
