Changing Tongues

Hi

Just started getting lace bite on my LTs, and I think it's down to the tongues geting thin and worn out.

I'm going to try the mouse pad solution, but I just wondered how you change tongues? I've seen people talk about changing/swapping tongues - but I cant work out how you would just change them like that?

They are sewn into the toe cap. I had a local shoe repair shop install mine for me.

Bauers are more complicated as they involve splitting the tongue but on your LTs it should just be a case of following the holes from the original tongues with some waxed thread

The sport isnt as big ovr here so maybe they wont know how to do it, but i'll give it a try

Dude I'm in Ireland... its bigger in England than it is over here. It should be ok, I took it to one shoe repair shop and they said it would ruin their machine (obviously didn't know how to do it) but the second place I took it to just examined how the originals were put in and then duplicated it.

Where did you get replacement tongues from mate?

I actually got them from the For Sale section on here but the guy I bought them off got them from eastwesthockey.com

Just wanted to get peoples thoughts on something related...

I've had these mission LT's for jsut under a year I think - use them about twice a week on average for about an hour a time.

Feels like the tongues should have lasted longer than this. I'm assuming it's the tongues breaking down anyway.

Any thoughts? What else could it be?
