beaucoup_fish 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2004 I never said Sony doesn't sell more...they've blown away the competition for the past 3 generations (since Sony didn't have a 64 bit entry)...and it's not Sony that forces competitors to drop prices, it's market forces. You will always see Sony follow suit with a price drop anytime Nintendo or Microsoft does as well.Sony entered the home console market when there was already a divide of gamers between Nintendo and Sega - there was a lot of uncertainty. However, in entering the handheld market, Sony faces a much larger obstacle in a Nintendo that basically has a pure monopoly. Good luck to Sony, but I'm rooting for Nintendo.
